The Stragglers Running Club and Safeguarding

At Stragglers we are committed to our members safety and welfare. We want to make sure your experience of the club is as positive as possible, that you feel welcome, included and supported to achieve your goals.

Our welfare team are here to help if you are worried about a child, an adult or a coach/group leader. At Stragglers we follow the guidance provided to us from England Athletics.

If you are worried that an adult or a child is in imminent danger you should call the police on 999.

All other worries or concerns can be raised with the Welfare team – photo’s and contact details can be found here.  All information disclosed to the welfare officer will be dealt with sensitively and shared on a need to know basis only – this is in line with the England Athletics procedures.

We ask all of our members to read the members code of conduct you will be reminded to revisit this yearly at membership renewal.

If you are a coach or group leader please read through the volunteer’s code of conduct and policies below and refresh this knowledge every year.

All coaches and Group leaders are DBS checked.
