Who tackled Britain's toughest race?

Three Stragglers tackled the Midsummer Munro, which claims to be the country's toughest race on Sunday. The half marathon which includes an ascent and descent of 3680 feet, starting and finishing on Box Hill, attracted 140 participants although not all of them finished.

Phil Davies was the first Straggler home finishing in a time of 2:41:10 and 50th place, followed by Merilyn Davies in 2:53:06. Philip Tauwhare also completed the event in 3:18:01.

Congratulations to all three for strong performances on a very hot day.
