Sophie Biggs and Merilyn Davis both qualified for the England age group trail running representative race in September this weekend. As reported in the roundup of racing, they were competing at the Forest of Dean trial half marathon.
Merilyn won silver in F65 while Sophie won bronze in F50.
There was more age group success in the Eiche international half marathon in Spain, where Phyllis Flynn won the F60 category, having finished in a time of 1:41:11.
And far closer to home, there was another podium prize as Jim Lurkins finished second in the Nonsuch Park 10k.
