This weekend it wasn't just about road racing at Stragglers took to the Surrey and Gloucestershire hills for some trails running. Aaron Israel was first finisher in the Y2Y North Downs Trek, completing the marathon distance in 4:28:16s, while Sophie Biggs (1:32:42), David Stevenson (1:39:56) and Merilyn Davis (1:51:59) all completed the Forest of Dean Half.
However, there were still plenty of Stragglers' feet pounding the tarmac. Some were racing locally with another Hampton Court Half happening along the river. Jason Nourse finished the half in 1:47:42 and Lucy Asby was close behind him in 1:50:49. Pavel Przepiorski covered the 13.1 miles in the fastest time - 1:38:45 - but was pacing rather than racing.
At the Wymondham AC 20 miler Simon Webb and Ian Hawkes finished in 2:42:11 while Simon Brazil covered the distance in 2:43:14.
And even further afield, Emily Eastwood who moved to Sheffield last year completed the Sheffield Half in 1:43:45.
