Some of our new racing vests got their first outing at this weekend's Kingston Half Marathon. Andrew Simpson was the first club member home when he finished in 1:22:34 and 21st overall. He finished third in his age category. Austin Molnar was our second man to finish two places behind Andrew in 1:22:58.
Hari Daniel was the first Stragglers woman to finish in a time of 1:26:39. Hari was first in her age category and 48th overall. Sonia Bandeira was our second woman to finish in1:29:27 which saw her finish second in her age group and 88th overall.
Meanwhile at the Cardiff Half, on the same day, Dan Strang was the first Straggler to finish in 1:17:33 and Sarah Holt the first woman in 1:17:50.
At Nonesuch Park the day before, the Surrey XC relays took place and our team of Lynda Chase, Romana Thevenet and Pamela McHutchon finished third in the V55 age category.
Elsewhere, Pavel Przepiorski was the first finisher at Germany's newest parkrun, Naturlehrpfad in Wetziar, finishing in a time of 18:29. And at the Chester Marathon Rhys Doherty finished in 2:30:37, Malcolm Davies in 3:10:42 and Merilyn Davies in 3:59:57.
