This weekend saw the start of the Surrey League XC, with the women racing at Wimbledon and the men at Reigate. There was a great turn out for the division one match on Wimbledon Common with 21 women racing. Sarah Holt was the first to finish in 21st place and 25:09, leading the A team to 7th, with five scoring. The B team finished 6th among the second teams.
At Reigate the men finished 9th with Dan Strang the first t to finish in 32:19.
Elsewhere Lisa Bailey and Merilyn Davis both competed in the Great Eastern Run, with Lisa finishing in a new PB of 1:16:51 and fourth overall, while Merilyn Davis finished in 1:41:54. Both gained England Masters selection.
Further afield, Robert Hodge achieved a new PB of 3:24:18 at the 3-Lander Marathon while a number of Stragglers headed to the Windy City, for the first major this season. You can read about how they got on here.
