Another day, another mob match. On Sunday it was Stragglers versus Chessington Unity at the Claygate Country 5 race. Jim Lurkins was the first finisher from the club (as he was on Saturday), coming in second overall in a time 29:27 and winning the senior men category. Hari Daniel was our fastest woman finishing in 33:32. She was second fastest woman overall and also won her age category as did Merilyn Davis.
Chessington has more runners but Stragglers produced the faster times. Again, as on Saturday some junior members of the club participated, while some of the graduates from last year's Couch to 5k programme, raced the popular event for the first time.
