This weekend saw Stragglers complete a clutch of extreme events, starting with the Round Norfolk Relay where our team finished 29th out of 60 teams in the 17 stage relay. James Bowell produced the best result in the team finishing ninth on stage nine. A team from City of Norwich AC won the event in 20:31:08 with our team finishing in 25:56:43.
Elsewhere Andrew Simpson notched up a new PB at the Friday night under the lights 5k in Battersea, finishing in 17;54, while Phil Hammett and Richard Bulkley (left) both completed Sundays' 50k Thames Path Ultra Challenge.
Richard's achievement was particularly impressive since he was one of five Stragglers from the Thames Ditton group to complete the two mile Serpentine Swim the day before. Richard was followed into the water by Andy Howarth, Jason Nourse, Steve Baller and Izzy Grindal.
